This mod is easy,  it works on any Series XJ-6 and

XJ-12,  and in any car for that matter.

The problem:  when you are working in the car,

you leave the door open and the interior lights

remain ON,  eventually discharging your battery.

Do the mod below and resolve the problem.

no modification to the wiring is required.

For a Blanking plate, you can use a Quarter coin

and drill a hole at 12:00 o'clock per the diagram.

You can do it to the front door jamb switches only,

or to all 4 doors.

This mod is for the Series 3 XJ with the Rubber Bumpers

where the front Turn Signal housings are buried.

It was invented by another XJ owner who shared it.

The problem:  Front Turn Signals are hard to see

from certain angles because they are inset so deep

in the front bumper cavity.

Do the mod below and resolve the problem.

I used ⅜" inch plastic Spacers glued to the rear of the turn signal lens housing, and 1⅝" inch long screws.

Screw heads were painted flat black and I reused the nylon

washers/seals.
